The Melbourne based label was launched in 2005 by designer Lucy Laurita after studying Fashion Design and Production at RMIT, Melbourne and subsequently working in design and production for 10 years. As a young child Lucy Laurita observed her mother’s remarkable dressmaking skills and was surrounded by beautiful fabrics and trims all of which is an inspiration for each Leiela design.
